Browns vs. Bears Pick
Is there any chance for the Cleveland Browns to break through with their first win of the season today at the Chicago Bears? Kickoff is at 1PM ET.
Who Oddsmakers Like: Chicago. The Bears are listed as a 6.5-point favorite on the spread line, while the total is set at 38 points. Chicago opened as a 7-point favorite and the line has dropped by half a point, while the over-under has also gone down ever so slightly from 38.5.
Who the Public Likes: Cleveland, with 64 percent of the bets coming in percent of the bets coming in on the Browns as of early Sunday morning.
Who the Trends Like: The Bears are 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games played on grass. The under is 0-4 in Chicago’s last four games overall. Cleveland is 1-8-1 in its last 10 road games. The under is 7-0 in the last seven Browns games following a double-digit loss at home.
Who We Like: This is going to be the better of Cleveland’s two chances to win their first game of the season, unless Pittsburgh has nothing to play for and rests starters in Week 17. The thing is, the Browns have lost a few games this year by only a field goal and been in many others well into the fourth quarter. And now they face a Bears team that is also playing for nothing but a higher draft pick. Maybe Josh Gordon and/or Corey Coleman can make a big play or two on the outside to help out Deshone Kizer. That will soften the middle for Isaiah Crowell to have some running lanes. Bears rookie QB Mitch Trubisky threw three interceptions at Detroit last week and isn’t coming in with a lot of confidence. Take the Browns to at least cover the spread today.
