PUBLIC BETTING: As of this writing, just over 50% of tickets are on the Falcons to cover the small spread. Some of those bettors likely had Atlanta at +3.

KEY TRENDS: The Falcons are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games and are 1-5 against the number in their last six games overall. The Seahawks, meanwhile, are 8-2-1 against the spread in their last 11 games played on Monday night and are 5-2-1 against the spread in their last eight games played in November.

OUR PREDICTION: The Seahawks are banged-up defensively. Michael Bennett (heel) is probable but Kam Chancellor (neck) is out for tonight and Richard Sherman (Achilles) is out for the year. Fortunately for Seattle, Earl Thomas (hamstring) is probable after missing the past few games.

With all of that star power banged-up for Seattle, Atlanta’s offense should muster enough points to get into the 20s. The Falcons have struggled offensively at times this year but Matt Ryan seems to be awaking from his slumber and the team put up 27 points a week ago versus the Cowboys. Atlanta also played in Seattle a year ago so it’s familiar with how loud that stadium gets.

On the other side, Russell Wilson and Doug Baldwin have been two-men wrecking crews and despite the Seahawks’ lack of a running game, the passing game should be fine. The over is 6-1 in the last seven meetings between these two teams and 4-1 in the last five meetings in Seattle.
