NFL Predictions: Will the Browns and Bengals hit the under? 11/24/17

Browns vs. Bengals Total Pick

Are the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns set for a low-scoring game when the two in-state rivals meet up Sunday at 1PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Cincinnati is favored at home in this game, as the Bengals are getting odds of -8 points against the Browns. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 38 points. Cincinnati has won six straight meetings with the Browns and the two have hit the under in six of their last seven encounters. The public betting in this game has Cincinnati getting 57 percent of the wagers at home. Sunday’s game takes place from Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio and will air live on CBS.

Cleveland is coming off a 19-7 loss at home to Jacksonville last week to fall to 0-10 on the season. The Browns are 6-4 with the under this year, but have hit the over in two of their last three games. Cleveland has been a mess on offense, averaging 15 points and 321 yards per game. Rookie DeShone Kizer has thrown for 1,555 yards and five touchdowns, but also has 14 interceptions. Isaiah Crowell is the leading rusher with 459 yards while Duke Johnson Jr. has 240 rushing and 414 receiving. Defensively, Cleveland is allowing 25.9 points and 325.5 yards per contest.

Cincinnati is coming off a 20-17 win at Denver last week to improve to 4-6 on the season. The Bengals are 6-4 with the under as well, but have hit the over in three of their last five games. Cincy hasn’t had a great year offensively, putting up just 16.9 points and 283.8 yards per game. Their run game is one of the worst in the league, averaging just 68 yards per contest. Rookie Joe Mixon is the leading rusher with 370 yards on 127 carries. Andy Dalton has thrown for 2,158 yards and 16 touchdowns with eight interceptions while A.J. Green has 48 catches for 743 yards and six scores. On defense, Cincinnati is holding opponents to 19.9 points and 341 yards per game.

Bet on Browns vs. Bengals

These two met on Oct. 1 with Cincinnati getting a 31-7 win on the road. However, things could go different this time even though the total is set at 38 points. Cincy has hit the under in five of its last six at home and in 17 of its last 21 games in November. Cleveland has hit the under in seven straight in its last 7 games after a double-digit loss at home. I could see Cincinnati shutting out Cleveland in this game, which will make it tough to hit the over.
