The Steelers are coming off a horrible showing at home, losing to the Jaguars 30-9 to fall to 3-2 on the season. Pittsburgh is 5-0 with the under this season as its offense hasn’t really gotten on track. They Steelers are averaging just 19.8 points and 343.8 yards per game. Ben Roethlisberger is coming off a 5-INT performance and now has six touchdowns with seven interceptions on the season. Le’Veon Bell has run for 371 yards and three touchdowns to lead the offense while Antonio Brown has 40 catches for 545 yards. Defensively, Pittsburgh is allowing just 17.8 points and 200.6 yards per game. Their pass defense is one of the best in the league, allowing just 164 yards per contest. Ryan Shazier is leading the defense with 45 tackles, two interceptions and two forced fumbles.
The Chiefs are coming off a 42-34 win at Houston last week to move to 5-0 on the season. The Chiefs are 4-1 with the over this year thanks to an offense that is really clicking. KC has put up at least 24 points in every game and is averaging 32.8 points and 434.4 yards per game. Alex Smith is making an early MVP resume, throwing for 1,391 yards with 11 touchdowns and no interceptions. He is also completing 76.6 percent of his passes. Helping in the matter is rookie RB Kareem Hunt, who has run for 609 yards and four touchdowns. Tyreek Hill is the leading receiver with 356 yards, but he is questionable for this game with a hamstring injury. Defensively, KC is allowing 22.2 points and 381.6 yards per game. The unit is being led by Justin Houston, who has 5.5 sacks. However, he is dealing with a calf injury that has him questionable for the game as well.
KC has been putting up the points lately, but I think this game is going to be a defensive battle. The Chiefs have hit the under in 39 of their last 57 home games while the Steelers are 22-7 with the under in their last 29 road games. Pittsburgh doesn’t look like itself on offense and Big Ben hasn’t been on point yet this year. While the Chiefs look very good on offense, they will likely find some resistance from this Pittsburgh defense.
