Dolphins vs. Eagles Preseason Pick
Will the Eagles cover the point spread versus the Dolphins tonight when the teams meet at 7:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Eagles are 3.5-point home favorites versus the Dolphins for tonight’s game. As for the total, the number sits at 42 points. Neither the spread nor the total moved off the original numbers.
MIAMI DOLPHINS: The Dolphins were shelled 31-7 by the Ravens in their second preseason game. Starter Jay Cutler was 3-for-6 for 24 yards while Senorise Perry led the team in rushing with six carries for 25 yards and a touchdown. DeVante Parker, who has drawn praise from Cutler this offseason for his speed and play-making ability, caught one pass for 16 yards.
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES: The Eagles picked up their first win of the preseason with a 20-16 victory at home against the Bills last Thursday. Second-year quarterback Carson Wentz went 6-for-9 for 56 yards while Corey Clement rushed eight times for 34 yards and a touchdown. Marcus Johnson, meanwhile, caught two passes for 45 yards.

OUR PREDICTION: The Eagles allowed 24 points to the Packers in their first preseason game and surrendered 16 in their second matchup. The Dolphins, meanwhile, allowed 20 to the Falcons two weeks ago and 31 to the Ravens last week. Ironically, both of these defenses should be strengths in the regular season but for now, both units are somewhat struggling. With the total sitting at a manageable 42, I like the over given how both teams have played in preseason thus far.
