Rams vs. Vikings Free Pick
Two teams with playoff aspirations will clash in Minnesota today when the Vikings host the Rams at 1:00PM ET.
The Odds
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Vikings are now 1-point home favorites over the Rams after they opened as 2.5-point favorites. As for the total, it opened at 40.5 before dropping to 40.
The Records
After winning its last two games, St. Louis is now 4-3 on the year and 4-3 against the spread, while Minnesota is 5-2 straight up and 6-1 at the betting window this season.
The Pick
Thanks to a fantastic defense and a franchise running back in Todd Gurley, the Rams have the ability to win this game outright. Teddy Bridgewater has had issues with turnovers and the Vikings’ offensive line will face its toughest test of the season thanks to a Rams’ defensive front that currently boasts three former first-round picks in Aaron Donald, Robert Quinn and Michael Brockers. (Chris Long is currently hurt or else he’d make it 4-for-4.) The Vikings are no slouches themselves defensively but they’re having issues converting red zone opportunities into touchdowns. The road team is a perfect 4-0 against the spread in the last four meetings between these two teams and the Rams have revenge on their minds after the Vikings embarrassed them at the Edward Jones Dome in the season opener last year.
