Seahawks vs. Vikings Free Pick
If the playoffs were to start today, the Vikings would own the No. 3 spot in the NFC and would host the No. 6 seed Seahawks. Ironically, the two teams will meet today in Minnesota at 1:00PM ET.
Despite being 8-3 on the year, the Vikings are a 2-point home underdog versus the Seahawks today according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI. The total also sits at 42 points after opening at that same number.
Jimmy Graham (out for the season/knee) had his ups and downs this season in Seattle’s offense, but he was still a weapon. He was still a playmaker in the Seahawks’ passing game that needed to be accounted for. Luke Willson might be a better fit for Seattle’s run-first attack, but Graham changed how opponents had to defend the Seahawks.
Thomas Rawls has done a great job filling in for Marshawn Lynch and with Russell Wilson under center, the Seahawks will be able to move the ball. But at what point do all the injuries start to catch up with Seattle?
Minnesota’s defense is highly underrated. The Vikings have allowed just 17.6 points per game this season, are surrendering just 334.4 yards per game (ninth in the NFL), and are allowing 223.7 passing yards per contest (fourth). Look for the Vikings to win this game like they’ve won most games this season: On the backs of their defense and Adrian Peterson.
