Kansas City Chiefs Betting Trends

The Chiefs are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games overall, are 13-3 against the number in their last 16 road games, and are 4-1 at the betting window in their last five games versus AFC opponents. They’re also a perfect 4-0 against the spread in their last four games following a win.

Houston Texans Betting Trends

The Texans are just 1-11 at the betting window in their last 12 games played in Week 5, are 1-5 against the spread in their last six games coming off a win, and are 1-4 at the betting window in their last five games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in their previous contest. They’re also 5-15-1 against the spread in their last 21 games after accumulating more than 250 total yards in their previous game.

OUR PREDICTION: Kansas City’s 4-0 record speaks for itself. The Chiefs are the best team in football right now thanks to a combination of Kareem Hunt’s impact, Alex Smith playing like a different quarterback, and a defense that has overcome the season-ending injury to safety Eric Berry. That said, the Texans have been rejuvenated by the play of rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson. Bill O’Brien finally has a quarterback that will take advantage of excellent weapons in Deandre Hopkins, Lamar Miller and Will Fuller. Defensively, the Texans are good now but could  be great by the end of the season. They rank fifth in total yards allowed, ninth in passing yards allowed, 14th in rushing yards allowed and 17th in points. The Chiefs are playing on a short week having played on Monday night, are on the road and will face a home underdog in primetime. I think KC falls for the first time this season.
