Two strong NFC teams close out Sunday’s football schedule today as the Dallas Cowboys meet the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 8:25PM ET.
According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Cowboys are favored at home in this game, as they are getting odds of -7 points against the Bucs. The over/under total for the game is listed at 46.5 points. Dallas has won five of the last six in this series but Tampa has covered in two straight and the two have hit the under in three straight encounters.
Tampa Bay comes into this game red hot. The Bucs have won five straight, including a 16-11 win over the Saints last week, to move to 8-5 on the season. Tampa is also 8-5 against the spread, covering in each of these five wins. That includes four games as an underdog. The Bucs are also 6-6-1 with the over/under total, going 3-0-1 with the under in their last four. Though the Bucs are giving up an average of 22.8 points and 374.6 yards per game for the season, Tampa’s defense has been very good in this win streak. They held the Saints to 11 last week and Seattle to just 5 three weeks ago. The unit has some injury concerns though, as Lavonte David (hamstring) and Gerald McCoy (foot) are both questionable to play. David has 65 tackles and a sack this year while McCoy has 26 tackles and seven sacks. Offensively, Tampa is averaging 22.5 points and 369.4 yards per game this year. Jameis Winston is having a pretty solid second year, throwing for 3,364 yards and 23 touchdowns with 12 interceptions. Mike Evans is his top target with 80 catches for 1,100 yards and 10 scores.

Dallas had an 11-game win streak snapped last week in a 10-7 loss to the Giants on the road. The Cowboys are now 11-2 on the year and 9-4 against the spread, though they have failed to cover in their last three games. When it comes to the total, Dallas is 8-5 with the under, hitting it in three of their last four. Dallas has had a great offense most of the year, averaging 26.2 points and 394.2 yards per game. Dak Prescott was rolling along and has thrown for 3,139 yards and 20 touchdowns with just four interceptions in 2016, but a shaky outing last week has some wondering if Tony Romo will see his first action of the regular season if Prescott struggles early tonight. Dallas has been led all year by Ezekiel Elliott, who has run for 1,392 yards and 12 touchdowns. Defensively, Dallas is giving up 18.3 points and 361.8 yards per game. Sean Lee has led the unit with 130 tackles, but he is questionable for the game with a knee injury.
