Packers vs. Broncos Prediction
The game of the week in the NFL is also the primetime matchup on Sunday Night Football as the Broncos host the Packers at 8:30PM ET tonight.
The Odds
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Broncos are 2.5-point home underdogs versus the Packers after opening as a 2.5-point dog. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 45.5 points after the number opened at 46.
The Records
Green Bay heads into tonight’s game with a 6-0 record and is 5-1 against the spread this season, while Denver is also 6-0 and is 4-2 at the betting window. Both of these teams are well rested coming off their bye weeks.
The Pick
Peyton Manning’s 72.5 quarterback rating is the second lowest among qualified passers this season. Through six starts, Manning has thrown seven touchdowns to 10 interceptions, which is as many picks as he threw during his entire 2013 season. Arm strength continues to be an issue for the 39-year-old, who threw three interceptions in what could have, and probably should have, been a Week 6 loss to the Browns. On the other side, Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been as red-hot as what we’ve seen in years past but he’s not limiting his offense like Manning is. Lay the points, even with Denver’s defense playing outstanding football.
