Patriots vs. Texans Free Pick
Losers of back-to-back games, the Patriots will look to avoid a losing streak by beating the Texans tonight at 8:30PM ET on Sunday Night Football.
This is just the eighth time in Tom Brady’s career that the Patriots have lost two games in a row. New England has gone 6-1 straight up in the next game the previous seven times and is 31-12 against the spread since 2003 coming off a loss.
Rob Gronkowski is listed as questionable for tonight’s game with a knee injury after not practicing on Wednesday. He returned for a limited sessions on Thursday and Friday and is thus headed for a game-time decision. If he winds up playing, the point spread in this game is going to move at least a half point. As it stands now, the Patriots are a 3.5-point road favorite according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI.
Jump on the Pats now before the line moves any higher. The New England defense has allowed just 199.7 passing yards per game over the last three weeks and shouldn’t have much trouble holding Brian Hoyer in check tonight. DeAndre Hopkins is a dynamic playmaker but Bill Belichick is outstanding when it comes to taking away an opponents’ best weapon.
The losing skid ends tonight.
