NFL Thanksgiving Odds: Look for Eddie Lacy to lead Packers against Bears

Can Lacy run over the Bears?

The 2015 season has been one to forget for Eddie Lacy, but will that change tonight when the Green Bay Packers host the Chicago Bears at 8:30PM ET?

View NFL Odds

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Packers are the clear favorite at home in this game, as they are getting odds of -8.5 points against the Bears. The over/under total for the game has been set at 45 points. These two meet tonight at 8:30PM ET on NBC.

The Packers enter this game at 7-3 on the season but Lacy hasn’t had much to do with that. Green Bay is averaging just 111.7 yards per game on the ground this season but Lacy only has 408 yards on 105 carries, an average of 3.9 yards per carry. While he still leads the team in rushing, he is far from reaching the 1,139 yards he had in 2013 or the 1,178 yards he had in 2013.

Today, however, Lacy meets up against a run defense in Chicago that is 25th in the league, allowing 123.7 yards per game on the ground, which is a big reason why the Bears are 4-6. Lacy built up some momentum last week with his first 100-yard game of the season against a good Minnesota defense and will look to build on that today. Oddsmakers have given him over/under odds of 68.5 rushing yards today. Lacy had 85 yards on 19 carries in the season-opener at Chicago. The Bears also gave up 102 yards to Ronnie Hillman last week.
