Cowboys vs. Vikings Prediction
Will the Cowboys win their 11th consecutive game tonight and cover at the betting window when they take on the Vikings at 8:25PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Vikings are now 3-point home underdogs versus the Cowboys after opening as a 2.5-point dog earlier in the week. As for the total, the number hit the board at 43.5 and has been bet up to 44.
COWBOYS KEY TRENDS: The Cowboys have covered the point spread in nine of their last 10 games, with their lone non-cover coming last Thursday night in a win over the Redskins on Thanksgiving Day. They’re also a perfect 5-0 against the spread in their last five road games, are 5-1 against the number in their last six games versus NFC opponents, and are 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven contests after accumulating more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game.
VIKINGS KEY TRENDS: The Vikings are a perfect 8-0 against the spread in their last eight home games versus a team with a winning road record and are 20-6 at the betting window in their last 26 home games. They’re also 12-3 against the number in their last 15 games after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game. That said, they’re just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games versus NFC opponents.

OUR PREDICTION: I fully expect Minnesota to hang with Dallas for an entire half, and maybe for three full quarters. The Vikings are third in total defense, allowing just 307.0 yards per game, are fourth in passing yards allowed (206.8) and second in points allowed (17.5). That said, they have the worst rushing game in the league, are susceptible to getting Sam Bradford killed behind a shaky offensive line, and if they do have one weakness on defense, it’s a run defense that ranks our 14th in the league while allowing 100.2 yards per game. Just like the Cowboys did to the Ravens a few weeks back, they’ll wear Minnesota’s defense down in the second half with Ezekiel Elliott and the precision passing of Dak Prescott (who does a great job keeping the chains moving on third downs). They may not win comfortably, but the ‘Boys should cover.
