MIAMI: The Dolphins had covered in three out of four games before running into a red-hot Colts team in Week 9. Miami failed to cover as a 2.5-point road favorite in a 23-20 loss to Indianapolis, and failed to get back on track last Sunday in an embarrassing 37-3 loss to the Titans as a 6.5-point home favorite. Those back-to-back losses dropped the Dolphins’ record to 4-5 overall and 4-5 against the spread, while the under has now hit in six of their first nine games. Reggie Bush, who was benched in the loss last week after he fumbled, currently leads Miami with 555 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
BUFFALO: Although they lost 37-31 in New England last Sunday, the Bills covered as a 13.5-point favorite. That was the first time they covered the number since a Week 6 victory over the Cardinals as a 5-point road underdog. The Bills are now tied with the Jets for last place in the AFC East with a 3-6 record and they’re now 4-5 against the spread this season. With Fred Jackson having already been ruled out with a concussion, C.J. Spiller (632 rushing yards) will have to carry the load tonight for a Buffalo team that has largely been a disappointment in 2012.
ODDS: Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed the Bills as 1-point favorites over the Dolphins, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 46 points. Miami is 4-5 overall and 2-3 on the road, while Buffalo is 3-6 overall and 1-2 at home.
TRENDS: The Dolphins are 6-2 against the spread in their last game games versus the Bills while the favorite is 7-3-1 against the number in the last 11 meetings between these two teams.
