Titans vs. Jaguars Odds
Though both teams have poor records, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans will be jockeying for position in the AFC South tonight when they meet up at 8:25PM ET on the NFL Network.
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, Jacksonville is the favorite in tonight’s game, as the Jaguars are getting odds of -2.5 points against the Titans. The over/under total for the game has been set at 42.5 points. The Jags are just one game out of first in the AFC South, while the Titans are two back. The home team has won six of the last eight in the series and the Jaguars are 7-1-1 against the spread in their last nine against the Titans.
Jacksonville is 3-6 on the season, 5-4 against the spread and 6-3 with the over. The Jags are coming off a 22-20 win at Baltimore for their second win in three games. Jacksonville is averaging 21.3 points and 343.7 yards per game on offense this season while the defense is giving up 28.3 points and 362.1 yards per game. Blake Bortles is having a nice season, having thrown for 2,381 yards and 19 touchdowns. Allen Robinson has caught 45 passes for 758 yards and seven scores while T.J. Yeldon has run for 531 yards and a score. Telvin Smith has 88 tackles and half a sack to lead the defense.
Tennessee is 2-7 on the season, 4-5 against the spread and 5-4 with the over. The Titans are coming off a 27-10 loss at home to the Panthers last week. Tennessee is now 27th in the league in scoring at 18.8 points per game. The Titans also rank 30th in total offense at 324.2 yards per game. Defensively, the Titans are giving up 23.8 points per game, but holding opponents to just 326 yards per game. Marcus Mariota has thrown for 1,795 yards and 13 touchdowns in his rookie year while Delanie Walker has caught 45 passes for 508 yards and three scores. The defense is led by Wesley Woodyard, who has 54 tackles and for sacks.
