Bengals vs. Broncos Total Pick
Can the Denver Broncos and Cincinnati Bengals get out of their offensive funks when they meet up with each other on Sunday at 4:25PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Denver is the slight favorite at home, as the Broncos are getting odds of -2.5 points against the Bengals. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 38.5 points. The Broncos have won six of the last seven meetings with the Bengals and the two have hit the over in four of their last five meetings. The public betting for this game has Denver getting 67 percent of the wagers at home. Sunday’s game takes place from Sports Authority Field in Denver, Colorado and will air live on CBS.
Cincinnati is coming off a 24-20 loss at Tennessee last week for its second straight loss. The Bengals are just 3-6 on the season and 5-4 with the under. Cincinnati is putting up just 16.6 points and 292.8 yards per game this season. Andy Dalton has thrown for 2,004 yards and 13 touchdowns with eight interceptions to lead the way while A.J. Green has 44 catches for 693 yards and five scores. Joe Mixon is the leading rusher with 321 yards and three scores, but the Bengals average just 3.1 yards per carry. Defensively, Cincy is giving up 20.2 points and 338.2 yards per game.
Denver is coming off a 41-16 loss at home to the Patriots for their fifth straight loss. They are now 3-6 on the season and 6-3 with the over, hitting it in their last three games. The Broncos are averaging just 18.4 points and 348.1 yards per game. Brock Osweiler has taken over at QB and has thrown for 447 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions in his limited action. C.J. Anderson is the leading rusher for the team with 536 yards and one score while Demaryius Thomas has 48 catches for 569 yards and two scores. Defensively, Denver is allowing 26.6 points and 305.3 yards per contest. Von Miller is leading the defense with 32 tackles and eight sacks.
The Denver defense has been a problem in recent games, as the Broncos have allowed 92 points in their last two outings. I don’t know that Cincinnati can take advantage of that, but I think the Bengals will at least see a slight boost in production. Denver also is still able to move the ball somewhat and should be able to score a few times to help this game get to the over.
