Pats struggling ATS in AFC Title Game
FOXBORO, MA (Totals Authority) – The Patriots will host the Colts tonight at 6:40PM ET and they’ve struggled to cover in recent Conference Championship games.
The Patriots are an imperfect 0-5 against the spread in their last five Conference Championship games, which includes a straight up loss as a 5-point underdog to the Broncos last year. Denver beat New England 26-16 at home in that game.
The Pats also lost to the Ravens straight up as an 8-point home favorite in the 2013 AFC Championship Game, falling 28-13. In the 2012 AFC Championship Game, New England beat Baltimore 23-20 but failed to cover as a 7-point home favorite and in the 2008 AFC title game, the Patriots beat the Chargers 21-12 but failed to cover as a 14-point favorite.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Patriots are 6.5-point home favorites over the Colts for tonight’s AFC Championship Game. Bettors beware of laying the points.
