Vikings vs. Falcons Free Pick
The slumping Falcons will look to keep their playoff hopes alive today when they host the Vikings at 1:00PM ET.
The Odds
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Falcons are 1-point home favorites after opening as a 2.5-point favorite. As for the total, it currently sits at 45.5 points after opening at 46.
Streaks & Records
The Falcons have been a horrible bet of late, failing to cover in five straight games. They’re still 6-4 on the year, but they’re 4-6 at the betting window and are just 2-3 against the number in their five home games this season. As for the Vikings, they’ve been a fantastic bet this season, going 7-3 straight up and 8-2 against the number. They’re 4-1 ATS in their five home games this season.
The Pick
The Falcons are a mess offensively because their offensive line continues to get quarterback Matt Ryan pounded and Ryan can’t stop turning the ball over (three turnovers last week versus the Colts, including a pick-six). Devonta Freeman is also out with a concussion, so Atlanta will have issues moving the ball on the ground as well. The Falcons have played well defensively at times and the Vikings have been good on that side of the ball all season (3rd in the league in points allowed, seventh in passing yards and 10th in total yards surrendered per game). The total is set way too high.
