How do oddsmakers from Las Vegas view each matchup in Week 1 of the NFL?
The NFL kicks off its 2016 season in Denver on Thursday night in a rematch of February’s Super Bowl. According to oddsmakers from the MGM Mirage in Las Vegas, the Panthers are currently a 3-point road favorite versus the Broncos after Carolina opened as a 1-point favorite. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 41.5 points at the MGM Mirage.
The Sunday night tilt in Week 1 offers plenty of intrigue, as Jimmy Garoppolo will start for the Patriots in place of the suspended Tom Brady. New England visits David Johnson and the Arizona Cardinals, who fell in the NFC Championship Game last season to Carolina. The Cardinals are currently a 6-point favorite over the Pats in Vegas, while the over/under sits at 47.5 points.
There are two Monday Night Football matchups in Week 1, with the Redskins hosting the Steelers at 7:10PM ET and the 49ers hosting the now-Los Angeles Rams at 10:20PM ET. Washington is a 3-point home underdog at the MGM Mirage while the Rams are a 2.5-point road favorite versus the 49ers in Santa Clara.

Some other betting odds of note: The Falcons are a 3-point home favorite on Sunday versus the Buccaneers while the Jets are a 2-point home dog versus the Bengals. The Saints are also a 1-point home favorite against the Raiders, the Giants are a 1-point road favorite at NFC East rival Dallas, and the Seahawks are a 10.5-point home favorite versus the Dolphins.
