Cowboys vs. Steelers Prediction

Will the Steelers snap their three-game losing streak with a win over the red-hot Cowboys today at 4:25PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Steelers are now 3-point home favorites versus the Cowboys while the over/under currently sits at 49.5 points. Pittsburgh opened as a 2.5-point favorite before the number climbed to 3, while the total opened at 51 before dropping to 49.5.

COWBOYS KEY TRENDS: The Cowboys are a perfect 7-0 against the spread in their last seven games overall, are 4-0 against the number in their last four road games, and are 6-0 at the betting window in their last six games following a win. They’re also 4-1 against the spread in their last five games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game but are just 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games following a win of more than 14 points.

STEELERS KEY TRENDS: The Steelers are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven home games and are 14-6-2 against the number in their last 22 games against an opponent with a winning record. They’re also 11-5 at the betting window in their last 16 games coming off a loss, despite failing to cover in each of their last two games when losing the previous week. The Steelers are in the midst of a three-game losing streak.

OUR PREDICTION: There’s an argument to be made that the Cowboys are the best team in the NFC and they have rolled for seven straight games. But they’re also due to slip up and today they’ll face a Steelers team that is difficult to beat in Pittsburgh and will no doubt be motivated coming off three consecutive losses. After missing time due to knee surgery, Ben Roethlisberger struggled last week to shake off the rest but did get hot in the fourth quarter while attempting to lead the Steelers to a come-from-behind victory. I expect Roethlisberger to be sharp out of the gates today and for the Steelers to hand the Cowboys just their second loss of the season.
