Will the Patriots blow the Jets out and cover as a sizable road favorite when the AFC East rivals clash at 4:25PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Jets are now 7.5-point home underdogs versus the Patriots after opening as an 8.5-point dog earlier in the week. The total, meanwhile, opened at 48 and has been bet down to 46 at the majority of online and Vegas sports books.
PATRIOTS KEY TRENDS: The Patriots have covered in five of their last six games and are a perfect 5-0 against the spread in their last five road games. They’re also 4-0 against the number in their last four games versus AFC opponents and are 6-1 at the betting window in their last seven games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.
JETS KEY TRENDS: The Jets have failed to cover in six of their last eight games, are 1-4 at the betting window in their last five games following a loss, and are 8-21 against the spread in their last 29 games in November. The Jets are also 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games versus the Jets in East Rutherford and are 5-0-1 against the number in their last six games overall versus the Pats.

OUR PREDICTION: Tom Brady is questionable but he traveled with the team to New York and according to ESPN’s Dianna Russini, the Patriots are planning for Brady to play. There’s little doubt that he’ll be under center for the first-place Pats, who should be able to thump a Jets team that has fallen apart. After beating the Ravens and Browns to close out November, the Jets fell in Miami and were beaten by the lowly Rams 9-6 at home before their bye week. They’re turning back to Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback and while he should move the ball against the Patriots’ average defense, he’ll also kill the Jets with mistakes. Take the better team.
