Will the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns be involved in a shootout this Sunday, or will it be a defensive grind?
According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Giants are favored on the road, as they are getting odds of -7 points against the Browns. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 44 points. The Giants have won four of their last five meetings with the Browns and the two have hit the over in two straight meetings.
The Giants have won five straight coming into this week, including a 22-16 win over the Bears at home last week. The Giants are now 7-3 on the season and 7-3 with the under. New York has a pretty stout defense, as the Giants are giving up 20 points and 367.8 yards per game. However, they do struggle a little bit against the pass, allowing 275.6 yards per game. The defense is led by Landon Collins, who has 80 tackles with five interceptions and three sacks. Offensively, New York is averaging 20.4 points and 347.8 yards per contest. Cleveland is coming off a 24-9 loss to the Steelers last week to fall to 0-11 on the season. The Browns are 6-5 with the over this season, but they have hit the under in three straight games. The main reason for that is the offense, as they have been held to 10 points or less in those three games. They are now averaging 16.7 points and 335.2 yards per game this season. Cody Kessler suffered another concussion last week and will not play this week. Josh McCown filled in last week and has thrown for 778 yards this season. Isaiah Crowell has run for 561 yards and five touchdowns this season while Terrelle Pryor has caught 56 passes for 724 yards and four scores. Defensively, Cleveland is giving up 29.5 points and 419 yards per game.

Cleveland is at home and will be able to give the Giants’ offense some trouble. New York can’t run the ball which should allow the Browns to get some stops. Cleveland will definitely struggle on offense against this New York defense, which should cause this game to be quite low scoring.
