According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Bengals are 8.5-point home favorites versus the Rams after opening as 9-point favorites. As for the total, the number opened at 42 and that’s where it currently sits.
Streaks & Records
After losing two straight games following an 8-0 start, the Bengals are now 8-2 straight up and 8-1-1 against the spread. They’re also 4-1 straight up and 3-1-1 against the number in their five home games this season. As for the Rams, they’ve lost three straight games to fall to 4-6 on the year and are just 4-5-1 against the number in 2015. They’re 1-3-1 at the betting window in five road games this year.
The Pick
The Rams are too one-dimensional on offense. They have a fantastic back in Todd Gurley but they can’t move the ball through the air. They benched Nick Foles in favor of Case Keenum last week and Keenum suffered a concussion at the concussion of the team’s loss to the Ravens. Now Foles is expected to step back into the starting lineup but regardless of who is under center, the Rams don’t have the passing attack to hang with the Bengals today. St. Louis is also severely banged up along the offensive line, so look for Cincinnati’s stout defensive line to wreak havoc on the Rams’ offense today.
