AFC North rivals clash in Cleveland today when the Browns host the Bengals at 1:00PM ET. Will Cincinnati avoid a letdown?
Austin Davis will make his first start for the Browns today in place of injured starter Josh McCown. Cleveland’s coaching staff bypassed an opportunity to put Johnny Manziel back into the starting lineup after Davis nearly led the Browns to a come-from-behind win on Monday night versus the Ravens.
Davis is limited but he did start eight games last season for the Rams, going 3-5 with a 63.4 completion percentage and a 12:9 TD:INT ratio. It’s unlikely that he leads the Browns to victory today but according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, Cleveland is a 8.5-point home dog.
That’s a lot of points to hand a home team in a divisional matchup, even though Cincinnati is 9-2 and a legit Super Bowl contender.
