Oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag have installed the Rams as a 5.5-point home underdog after the Cardinals opened as a 5.5-point favorite. The point spread reached 6 points at one point this week before dropping back down. As for the total, it opened at 44 points but has dropped a full point down to 43.

The Rams’ best performance on offense came in that Week 4 victory over the Cardinals. That was the last time Nick Foles resembled an actually pro quarterback and when Todd Gurley had his NFL introduction party. The Rams forced multiple turnovers in that game, including on the opening kickoff when rookie David Johnson fumbled.

Speaking of Johnson, Bruce Arians said that the rookie back could receive 25 touches today with Chris Johnson and Andre Ellington both out with injuries. Arizona’s rushing attack should be in good hands but Johnson has struggled in blitz pickup this year so that could be a factor today.

The Rams are banged up (especially along the offensive line), they’re been putrid on offense, and they’re out of the playoff hunt in the NFC. But for one reason or another, they usually play well inside the division and they’re 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 games as home dogs against the NFC West. Take the points.
