NFL Week 13 Injury Report
Wide receivers are the big standouts in the Injury Report for Week 13 of the NFL Season. Here is a closer look at some of the top players that could be out this weekend.
One team that will be severely hampered today is the Oakland Raiders. Oakland will be without its top two receivers as Michael Crabtree is suspended and Amari Cooper is out due to a concussion and ankle injury combo. The Raiders will host the New York Giants today at 4:25PM ET. Even without these two players, oddsmakers have the Raiders as a 9-point favorite against the Giants. New York made a splash this week as well, benching Eli Manning to start Geno Smith. Crabtree and Cooper have combined for 84 receptions, 1,001 yards and 11 touchdowns this season. Manning has thrown for 2,411 yards and 14 touchdowns for the Giants while Smith has failed to complete two passes he has thrown.
On Monday night, the Pittsburgh Steelers could be without top receiver, Antonio Brown, as he is dealing with a toe injury that kept him out of practice the last two days. The Steelers will be on the road to face the Cincinnati Bengals in Monday Night Football at 8:30PM ET. Oddsmakers have Pittsburgh favored, as the Steelers are getting odds of -5 points for this game. Brown is having another tremendous season, catching 80 passes for 1,195 yards and eight touchdowns. That doubles the total yards of the next closest receiver, JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Another injury concern to a receiver is Tennessee Titans’ Rishard Matthews. He is dealing with a hamstring injury that has him listed as a game-time decision when the Titans host the Houston Texans today at 1PM ET. Oddsmakers have Tennessee as a 7-point favorite at home in this one. Matthews is Tennessee’s leading receiver with 41 catches for 626 yards and three touchdowns. He had three catches for 49 yards in the first meetings with the Texans this season on Oct. 1.
