Green Bay, Denver generating big support
Aaron Rodgers and the Packers looked more like their usual selves in Monday night’s 27-13 victory over the Eagles. Heading into a new week teeming with quality matchups, that’s good enough for most bettors.

Green Bay is attracting 79 percent of wagers in advance of its 1 p.m. ET kickoff against Houston. Despite getting limited work during recent practices, Rodgers (hamstring) should start his 45th straight game. Altogether, though, the Pack had 12 players on Friday’s final injury report. For the Texans, Jadeveon Clowney has already been ruled out due to a wrist/elbow issue. The former No. 2 overall selection boasts three sacks and 34 tackles in 11 contests.
In Jacksonville, 74 percent of individuals think the host squad stands no chance vs. Denver. While the Jags find themselves in the midst of yet another lost campaign, the Broncos want Paxton Lynch to restore hope. The rookie slides under center for the first time since Oct. 9, and at a particularly crucial juncture. Gary Kubiak’s club just dropped a 30-27 decision to the Chiefs, leaving it in seventh place in the AFC playoff race.
Kirk Cousins used to be a wide-eyed ingénue at the quarterback position, too. Now, however, he’s trying to lead the 6-4-1 Redskins to a second straight postseason appearance. Sixty-six percent of patrons expect the Hogs to dispatch Arizona shortly. Unfortunately for Cousins, he’ll have to do without one of his top targets. Tight end Jordan Reed’s dislocated shoulder means additional opportunities for veteran Vernon Davis. The Cardinals (4-6-1), of course, need a win to maintain any sort of relevance in the NFC West.
Staying in that same division, Los Angeles takes on injury-riddled New England in several hours. Yet the Patriots are preferred by 64 percent of the crowd. Bill Belichick’s crew did receive some especially tough news on the Rob Gronkowski front a short while ago. The All-Pro will miss the remainder of the year after undergoing surgery to repair a herniated disk in his back.

The surging Buccaneers seem much healthier, literally and figuratively, on the heels of upending Seattle on Nov. 27. Jameis Winston and his friends figure to build on said momentum at San Diego, as well – at least in the eyes of the general population. Sixty-one percent of the people lean toward Dirk Koetter’s troops to improve to 7-5. On the flip side, the Chargers’ 5-6 record basically nudges the organization closer to 2017.
