Jets vs. Redskins Week 13 Odds
WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Spread) – Can the Jets keep their playoff hopes alive this Sunday when they travel to Washington to take on the Redskins?
NEW YORK: The Jets snapped their two-game losing streak last Sunday with a 28-24 win over the Bills but failed to cover the spread for the seventh time in 11 games. The good news is that Mark Sanchez threw four touchdown passes although he still had plenty of head-shaking moments. The Jets are now 6-5 on the year and remain two games back of the Patriots in the AFC East.
WASHINGTON: The Redskins finally snapped their six-game losing streak by beating the Seahawks 23-17 in Seattle last Sunday. That improved Washington’s record to 4-7 on the year and the Skins are now 5-6 against the spread. Clearly the change back to Rex Grossman at quarterback was a good move by Mike Shanahan, because the Redskins have been significantly more competitive with him under center than John Beck. Rookie Roy Helu is also starting to gain some attention after he rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown as well as caught seven passes for 54 yards last week.

TRENDS: The Jets are 1-5 against the spread in their last six road games and 1-4 ATS in their last five games as a favorite. They are, however, 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games versus a team with a losing record and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games versus a team with a losing home record. The Redskins are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five games in Week 13.
