NFL Week 13 Picks: Is 42 points too low for the Eagles and Bengals?

Eagles vs. Bengals Pick

The Cincinnati Bengals hope to overcome their banged-up roster when they play host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at 1PM ET. Will they continue to struggle on offense?

According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Bengals are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -1 point against the Eagles. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 42 points. Cincinnati is 2-0-1 in the last three against Philly and the two have hit the over in four of their last six meetings.

Bet on Eagles vs. Bengals

Cincinnati has lost three straight and only won one of its last seven games. The Bengals are now 3-7-1 on the season with a 6-5 mark with the under. They have hit the under in three straight games. Cincinnati has lost its biggest offensive weapon in A.J. Green to a hamstring injury. The Bengals average just 19.4 points per game on offense as is and they have scored just 26 points in their last two games. Andy Dalton has thrown for 3,043 yards and 12 touchdowns with six interceptions. His line has given up 32 sacks as well. Jeremy Hill is the leading rusher and has run for 644 yards and six touchdowns. Defensively, Cincinnati is giving up 22.3 points and 378 yards per game.

The Eagles are in a funk right now as well, dropping four of their last five games to fall to 5-6 on the season. Philly is 6-5 with the under as well, hitting it in their last three games. Philly is averaging 23.1 points and 350.6 yards per game on the season, but they also have been held to 15 points or less in their last two games. After a strong start for rookie QB Carson Wentz, he now has just 2,593 passing yards with 11 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. Ryan Mathews has run for 427 yards and seven touchdowns to be the team’s leading rusher, but he is questionable for this game with a knee injury. Jordan Matthews is the leading receiver with 57 catches for 686 yards and three scores. Defensively, Philly has been solid, allowing just 19.4 points and 353.7 yards per game. They also have 25 sacks with 16 turnovers forced.

Both offenses come into this game struggling. Cincinnati isn’t the most impressive defense either, but I think they will play well at home against this struggling Philly offense. The Eagles should be able to apply plenty of pressure on Dalton and he won’t be able to be bailed out by Green. Expect this game to stay low scoring.
