The biggest name on the Injury Report isn’t about someone missing a game due to injury, it’s about the return of Ezekiel Elliott from suspension. The Cowboys get their star running back back in the lineup after serving his six-game suspension. The Cowboys are at home to face the Seattle Seahawks at 4:25PM ET in a must-win for both teams. Oddsmakers are listing the Cowboys as a 4.5-point favorite at home. Elliott rushed for 783 yards and seven touchdowns this season prior to the suspension, averaging 87.9 yards per game. He had at least 100 yards in four of his eight games this year.
One notable injury today is to New Orleans receiver Michael Thomas, who practiced all week but showed up on the injury report on Saturday due to a hamstring issue. He is listed as questionable to play today in a key game for the Saints. They are hosting the Atlanta Falcons at 1PM ET in a game that will help decided the AFC South. Oddsmakers are listing the Saints as a 5.5-point favorite at home against Atlanta. Thomas is the leading receiver for the Saints with 94 catches for 1,085 yards and five touchdowns. Thomas caught 10 passes for 117 yards and a touchdown in the 20-17 loss at Atlanta on Dec. 7.
Another big return today is Leonard Fournette of the Jacksonville Jaguars, who sat out last week’s game with a quad injury. The Jaguars are going on the road to face the San Francisco 49ers today at 4:05PM ET. Jacksonville is listed as a 4-point road favorite as they look to stay in the mix for a first-round bye in the playoffs. Fournette has rushed for 923 yards and eight touchdowns this season to lead the offense. He has five games with at least 100 rushing yards this year as well.
