The opening odds are out for Week 16 of the NFL season. Here is a look at what the betting capital thinks of this week’s games.
The featured game this week is a battle in the AFC North as the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday at 4:30PM ET. According to oddsmakers at the MGM Mirage in Las Vegas, Pittsburgh is favored at home, as the Steelers are getting odds of -5.5 points against the Ravens. The over/under total is currently listed at 44 points. Pittsburgh is 9-5 on the season and 9-5 against the spread this year while Baltimore is 8-6 overall and 6-8 against the spread. These two met back on Nov. 6 in Baltimore with the Ravens getting a 21-14 win as a 3.5-point underdog. The Ravens have won four straight meetings with Pittsburgh, going 3-0-1 against the spread in those four wins.

The other featured game this week will come on Sunday night as the Kansas City Chiefs host the Denver Broncos at 8:30PM ET. According to the MGM Mirage, Kansas City is favored at home, getting odds of -4.5 points against the Broncos. The over/under total for the game is listed at 38 points. KC is 10-4 overall on the season and 7-7 against the spread while the Broncos are 8-6 overall and 8-6 against the spread. KC won the first meeting on Nov. 27, 30-27 in OT, in Denver. The road team has actually won and covered the spread in four straight in this series.
