Will the Panthers pull off the upset and get their revenge against the Falcons when the NFC South rivals clash at 1:00PM ET today?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Panthers are now 3-point home underdogs versus the Falcons after opening as a 1.5-point dog earlier in the week. As for the total, the number hit the board at 52 and has been bet down to 51.5.

They’re also 4-0 against the spread in their last four games versus a team with a losing record, are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games coming off a win, and have covered in nine of their last 13 games overall.
CAROLINA KEY TRENDS: The Panthers have been a great home bet, covering in nine of their last 13 games in Charlotte. They’re also 12-5-1 at the betting window in their last 18 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game, which came on Monday night when they upset the Redskins in D.C. That said, Carolina is winless at 0-4 against the spread in its last four divisional games.

OUR PREDICTION: The Falcons have scored over 40 points in their last two games and will have Julio Jones back, but the home team has been the better bet in this series, covering in seven of the last eight meetings between these two teams. The underdog is also 5-1 against the spread in the last six games between these two teams and most importantly, the Falcons are winless at 0-4 against the number in their last four games in Charlotte. The Panthers, who have won two straight, have clearly not given up on their season despite their playoff hopes being on life support. I like them to pull off the upset outright but I feel good with having the three points in my back pocket.
