NFL Week 16 Predictions: Tampa Bay Bucs vs. New Orleans Saints 12/24/16

Bucs vs. Saints Prediction

Will the Bucs pull off the upset today in New Orleans when they visit the Saints at 4:25PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Saints are 3.5-point home favorites versus the Bucs while the over/under currently sits at 52 points. The point spread hasn’t moved since New Orleans opened at -3.5, but the total went from 52.5 down to 52.

TAMPA BAY KEY TRENDS: The Buccaneers are 5-0 against the spread in their last five road games, are 4-0 against the spread in their last four conference games, and are 6-0 at the betting window in their last six games overall. They’re also 5-0 against the number in their last five games when playing a team with a losing record and are a perfect 5-0 ATS in their last five games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.

NEW ORLEANS KEY TRENDS: The Saints are 7-2 against the spread in their last nine divisional games, are 6-2 against the number in their last eight conference games, and are 8-3 at the betting window in their last 11 games overall. They’re also a perfect 6-0 against the spread in their last six games after allowing more than 30 points in their previous game.

OUR PREDICTION: The Buccaneers have owned the Saints at the betting window, covering in four of the last five games between these two teams and going 9-4 against the spread in their last 13 games in New Orleans. The Bucs are currently the sixth seed in the NFC and with a playoff berth plays the NFC South crown still in play, I like Jameis Winston and Co. to given the Saints a game. This line seems like an overreaction to New Orleans’ win in Arizona last Sunday and I love that I’m getting the hook with a Bucs team that has covered in six straight.
