JACKSONVILLE: The Jaguars are coming off a 23-16 loss to the Patriots last week to extend their losing streak to four games. Jacksonville’s last win was actually a 24-19 victory over the Titans at home. Despite losing last Sunday, it was actually a solid effort from Jacksonville, who out-gained the Patriots 436-349 in total yards. The defense was able to force two turnovers and three sacks against the Patriots’ offense. When Jacksonville had the ball, quarterback Chad Henne threw for 348 yards on 29 of 51 passing with one touchdown and three interceptions. Henne has seemingly helped the Jacksonville offense since taking over as starter the last six games of the season. He has thrown for at least 300 yards in two games and over 220 in two others. He has eight touchdowns with nine interceptions on the season.
TENNESSEE: The Titans are coming off a 55-7 thrashing against the Packers last week. It dropped Tennessee to 5-10 on the season. They have now lost four of their last five games. Nothing went right for the Titans in last Sunday’s loss, as they had just 180 yards of offense while allowing 480 yards to the Packers. Tennessee allowed Aaron Rodgers to throw for 342 yards and three touchdowns. Titans quarterback Jake Locker struggled, going 13 of 30 passing for 140 yards and one touchdown. He was sacked seven times in the loss as well. Locker has thrown for under 150 yards in his last two games. Despite missing give games this season, Locker has still been sacked 36 times for the season.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Tennessee is the slight favorite at home, as the Titans have odds of -4 points against the Jaguars. The over/under total has been set at 41.5 points. Tennessee is 5-10 on the season, 3-4 at home and 5-10 against the spread. Jacksonville is 2-13 overall, 1-6 on the road and 7-8 against the spread.
