NFL Week 2 Line Report
Week 1 in the NFL wraps up tonight with a Monday Night Football double-header, but the odds are already out for Week 2.
Thursday Night Football
The Thursday Night Football matchup will pit two teams against each other who disappointed in Week 1. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Bengals are 3-point home favorites to beat the Texans, who might start Deshaun Watson. The rookie replaced Tom Savage in Sunday’s loss to the Jaguars after Savage was brutal in the first half. The total for Thursday’s game sits at 38.5 points.
Eagles at Chiefs, Sunday, 1:00PM ET
One of the more intriguing Week 2 games is in Kansas City, where the Chiefs will host the Eagles fresh off their impressive Week 1 victory in New England. Oddsmakers have installed the Chiefs as a 4.5-point home favorite over the Eagles, who already have a road victory after beating divisional foe Washington on Sunday. The Eagles are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games against the Chiefs.
Patriots at Saints, Sunday, 1:00PM ET
Another early game on Sunday that will have plenty of eyes is the Patriots-Saints matchup in New Orleans. As of this writing, the Saints have not played their Week 1 game against the Vikings, but their Week 2 matchup against the Patriots is likely to be a shootout. The total has yet to be posted for this game, but New England is an early 4.5-point road favorite. The home team is 4-1 at the betting window in the last five meetings between these two teams.

Cowboys at Broncos, Sunday, 4:25PM ET
The primetime late game on Sunday should be a good one, as the Cowboys travel to Denver to take on the Broncos fresh off their impressive Week 1 performance versus the Giants. The Broncos have opened as a 1.5-point home underdog in this matchup, although they have not played the Chargers as of this writing. The over is 5-1 in the last six meetings between these two teams while the home squad is 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings.
Sunday Night Football
The Sunday night matchup in Week 2 is outstanding, as 1-0 Green Bay travels to 1-0 Atlanta as the Falcons open their new Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Falcons opened as 1-point home favorites but the line moved to 2.5. This is a rematch of last year’s NFC Championship Game, as the Falcons routed the Packers 44-21 to advanced to the Super Bowl. Despite that outcome, the road team is 5-1 against the spread in the last six meetings between these two teams and the underdog is 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings.
Monday Night Football
The Monday night matchup is intriguing, although not if Odell Beckham Jr. misses a second straight game. The Giants will host the Lions on Monday night and have opened as a 5-point home favorite despite getting thumped by the Cowboys on Sunday night. Detroit, meanwhile, is coming off a small upset of Arizona on Sunday. The road team has covered in six of the last eight meetings between these two teams.
