Cardinals vs. Bears Free Pick
Will the Bears pull off a small upset today when they host the Cardinals at 1:00PM ET at Solider Field?
The Bears dropped their home opener to the Packers but their were some positives to be gained from the defeat. For starters, Matt Forte rushed for 141 yards and one touchdown on 24 carries while also adding 25 yards receiving on five catches. He’s clearly the focal point of new OC Adam Gase’s offense and should be employed in a variety of ways.
Despite being a game-time decision due to a calf injury, Alshon Jeffery also caught five-of-11 targets for 78 yards and Jay Cutler threw for 225 yards with one touchdown and one interception. The Bears dominanted time of possession in the first half, which helped them create a 13-10 halftime lead.
For Arizona, Carson Palmer was red-hot in the Cardinals’ victory over the Saints. He completed 19-of-32 passes for 307 yards with three touchdowns and zero interceptions but Andre Ellington was diagnosed with a Grade 1 PCL sprain and will reportedly be sidelined for 2-3 weeks. Can Arizona’s offense be as potent as it was in Week 1 with Chris Johnson carrying the bulk of the rushing attack? Chicago’s defense is not formidable but if the Cardinals are one-dimensional they could struggle to pick up their second win in as many weeks.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Bears are 1.5-point home underdogs versus the Cardinals while the over/under total for today’s game sits at 46.5 points.
