Dallas Cowboys Betting Trends

The Cowboys have been a poor bet on Monday nights, failing to cover the spread in nine of their last 12 games played on this day. They’re also just 2-6 against the spread in their last eight conference games, are 2-7 at the betting window in their last nine games overall, and are winless at 0-4 against the number in their last four road games.

Arizona Cardinals Betting Trends

The Cardinals have dropped seven of their last 10 at the betting window when playing the rest of the conference and are just 4-11 against the spread in their last 15 home games. They’re also just 3-9 at the betting window in their last 12 games overall, are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games played in the month of September, and are 1-6 against the number in their last seven appearances on Monday night football.

OUR PREDICTION: The Broncos laid out the blueprint for success against the Cowboys last week when they shut down Ezekiel Elliott and forced Prescott to beat them through the air. That said, not every team can slow down Elliott and not every team has three corners that can play man-to-man coverage for an entire game like Denver has the ability with Chris Harris, Aqib Talib and Bradley Roby. Granted, Arizona is solid defensively but even if the Cardinals do put up a fight on that side of the ball, I don’t trust them to get it done offensively. Bruce Arians keeps having to reshuffle his offensive line due to injuries and Carson Palmer has looked helpless at times because of it. Palmer is also coming off an excellent second half last Sunday in Indianapolis but without David Johnson to lean on, I don’t think the Cardinals will have much success tonight. I like Dallas in a key bounce back opportunity.
