NFL Week 4 Betting Report
NFL Week 4 is here. As always, pay per head agents are thinking about what games figure to be hot in their bookie businesses.
Check out the following games that could determine how much profit your bookie makes in NFL Week 4.
New Orleans -3 vs Miami +3
Most bookmakers should see plenty of money line action drop on Miami to beat New Orleans straight up. The Dolphins are much, much better than what they showed in their 6 to 20 loss to the New York Jets in Week 2.
They’re expecting the bettors to back them. Bookmakers figure to set max betting limits on the Fins to beat the Saints straight up.
L.A. Rams +6 vs Dallas Cowboys -6
49% of NFL handicappers are taking the 6 points on the Rams. L.A. figures to be a hot commodity in some bookmaking businesses due to their amazing ability to score touchdowns.
Bookmakers are going to use their layoff accounts to even out action on both sides of the spread.
Detroit Off at Minnesota Off
By Wednesday afternoon, pay per head agents will know if Minnesota QB Sam Bradford is playing for the Vikings. If he isn’t, bookies are going to assume that Detroit’s the hot pick to cover.
Don’t be surprised if your online bookie sets a schedule limit override on this game.
Buffalo +8 at Atlanta -8
Buffalo has a real shot of beating Atlanta straight up in NFL Week 4. The Bills’ defense is one of the best in the NFL. Atlanta is getting 66% of the love, though.
This is one game where bookies might not use their layoff accounts. If Buffalo remains at +8, and the per head agent has taken most of the action on Atlanta, that per head agent might decide to let the action ride.
Carolina +9 at New England -9
66% of NFL handicappers also back New England against Carolina. Carolina doesn’t have much of an offense. What Carolina does have is a very good defense.
The Patriots have absolutely no defense. Will agents allow the money on New England to ride instead of using their layoff accounts? Maybe.
By understanding how pay per head agents think, bettors are capable of strategizing around their individual bookies’ actions.
