New York Giants Betting Trends

The Giants are 4-1-1 against the spread in their last six games following a loss, are 8-2-1 against the number in their last 11 games in Week 4, and are 33-16-3 against the spread in their last 52 games played in October. That said, they have failed to cover the spread in five of their last six games coming off a successful cover.

The Buccaneers are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games when facing a team with a losing record, are 7-3 against the number in their last 10 games overall, and are 6-1 at the betting window in their last seven games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game. OUR PREDICTION: The Bucs played an ugly game in Minnesota last week but they should have an easier time moving the ball against the Giants this afternoon. Granted, New York’s pass defense has been solid this season, but teams aren’t attacking the Giants through the air. They don’t need to. The G-Men rank dead last in rushing yards allowed this season and if the Bucs can get their running game going, Jameis Winston won’t feel the need to force as many passes as he did a week ago playing from behind. I think Dirk Koetter will reign in his offense a little today, play more conservatively by keeping the ball on the ground, and then protect a lead in the second half. In other words, I expect the Giants to make all the mistakes today.
