Six NFL Lines Already on the Move
Week 6 in the NFL starts on Thursday night with a great matchup between the Eagles and Panthers. But that game is not among the six matchups that are already seeing significant line movement.
Giants at Broncos, 8:30PM ET, Sunday
The winless Giants travel to Denver on Sunday to take on a Broncos team that is trying to keep pace with the unbeaten Chiefs in the AFC West. Denver opened as a 9-point home favorite for this game but according to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Broncos are now 12-point favorites. Injuries have ransacked New York’s roster, especially at the receiver position with Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon Marshall and Sterling Shepard all out.
Dolphins at Falcons, 1:00PM ET, Sunday
Despite beating the Titans last week to improve their record to 2-2, the Dolphins are a mess. Before last week, Miami had scored just seven touchdowns in eight quarters. Jay Cutler could be benched for Matt Moore at some point and the team’s offensive line coach Chris Foerster just resigned after video emerged of him snorting a white substance off his desk while talking to a stripper. Bizarre. Anyway, the Dolphins opened as 9-point road underdogs for Sunday’s matchup with the pissed-off, well-rested Falcons, who are now 11.5-point favorites and climbing. Good luck, Miami.

Buccaneers at Cardinals, 4:05PM ET
Injuries have also ransacked Arizona’s offense. The Cardinals are dealing with multiple injuries along their offensive line, which has affected the play of quarterback Carson Palmer. The Cards are already missing David Johnson and Bruce Arians might need to change his offense if Arizona has any shot of rebounding. The Cardinals’ game against the Buccaneers on Sunday opened as a pick’em but the line has already moved 2.5 points in favor of Tampa Bay.
Rams at Jaguars, 4:05PM ET, Sunday
Two of the bigger surprises in football through five weeks will meet on Sunday in Jacksonville. This game hit the board as a pick’em but the Jaguars are now a 2.5-point home favorite after shocking the Steelers as a 7.5-point road underdog last Sunday in Pittsburgh. The Rams, meanwhile, were a Cooper Kupp catch in the end zone of potentially beating the Seahawks and starting the season 4-1.
Lions at Saints, 1:00PM ET, Sunday
This matchup got a whole lot more interesting with New Orleans winning back-to-back games before its Week 5 bye. The Saints opened as a 3-point home favorite versus the 3-2 Lions, but the line has jumped to 4.5. This matchup also features the highest over/under in Week 6 at 50.5 (down from the original number of 51).
49ers at Redskins, 1:00PM ET, Sunday
San Francisco is winless at 0-5 but the 49ers are coming off back-to-back heartbreaking losses in overtime the past two weeks. Still, the Niners aren’t receiving much respect from oddsmakers, who have installed San Francisco as a 9-point underdog. That line has now climbed to Washington -10.
