NFL Week 6 Injury Report
This week the NFL Injury Report is headlined by some quarterbacks that may have difficulty finding the field on Sunday. Here’s the latest news on the biggest injuries.
Watson dealing with rib injury
The Houston Texas could be without starting quarterback Deshaun Watson today when they host the Buffalo Bills at 1PM ET as Watson is dealing with some injured ribs. According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, the Texans are the heavy favorite at home, as they are getting odds of -10 points against the Bills. Watson took some big hits in last week’s OT win over the Dallas Cowboys, leaving him with sore ribs. He was limited in practice this week, which earned the questionable tag. Watson has indicated he will play, but is not likely to be 100 percent for today’s game.
Tannehill questionable
The Miami Dolphins saw their starting quarterback, Ryan Tannehill, become a late addition to the injury report this week because of a shoulder issue. He had a limited practice on Friday, earning a questionable tag. Oddsmakers are listing the Dolphins as a 4-point underdog at home when they host the Chicago Bears at 1PM ET. Tannehill has thrown for 972 yards and eight touchdowns this season. If he is unable to go, it will be Brock Osweiler that will get the start. He has thrown just five passes this season.
Freeman out again
Just a week removed from returning after missing three games, Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman will miss time again, this time due to a foot injury. Freeman already missed three games this year with a knee injury. The Falcons are set to host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers today at 1PM ET. Oddsmakers are listing Atlanta as a 3-point favorite at home. Freeman has rushed for just 68 yards on 14 carries this year. With him out, Tevin Coleman will return to primary duties. He leads the Falcons with 225 rushing yards this year. Rookie Ito Smith has 80 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
