NFL Week 6 Predictions: New York Jets vs. Arizona Cardinals 10/17/16

Jets vs. Cardinals Prediction

Will the Jets and Cardinals score enough tonight on Monday Night Football to push the score over the total for bettors?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Cardinals are 7.5-point home favorites versus the Jets while the over/under currently sits at 46 points. Neither the side nor the total have moved off the original number, but there could be more movement the closer we get to kickoff.

Bet Tonight’s Jets vs. Cardinals Game

The Jets are 1-5 against the spread in their last six games overall and are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five road games. They’re also 2-6 against the number in their last eight games after failing to cover the spread in their previous game and are just 1-5 at the betting window in their last six games following a straight up loss of more than 14 points.

The Cardinals haven’t covered the spread in their past six Monday night games and are just 2-8 against the number in their last 10 home games. They’ve also failed to cover the spread in six of their last eight games overall and are just 2-6-1 against the number in their last nine games after accumulating more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game.

OUR PREDICTION: Neither of these offenses are in sync right now and it’s unlikely the Cardinals will be firing on all cylinders in the passing game with Carson Palmer returning to action after missing last week’s game due to a concussion. Look for Bruce Arians to once again lean on his ground game and for the Jets to game plan around making sure Ryan Fitzpatrick doesn’t have to attempt a ton of passes with a  banged-up receiving corps. The under is 5-1 in the Jets’ last six road games and is 7-0 in the Cardinals’ last seven home games.
