Jets vs. Cardinals Public Betting
Who are the public wagers on for Monday Night Football when the Arizona Cardinals host the New York Jets tonight at 8:30PM ET?
According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Cardinals are favored at home tonight, as they are getting odds of -7 points against the Jets. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 46 points.
For the public wagers, it appears that they are behind the Cardinals. Of the bets that have been placed, 58 percent are currently going on Arizona as a 7-point home favorite against the Jets tonight.
There are certainly reasons to see what the public is backing the Cardinals. Arizona has typically had a great passing attack in previous years behind Carson Palmer, and tonight he faces a Jets secondary that is giving up 319.8 passing yards per game. Palmer’s numbers this year at home are still quite solid. He has thrown for 863 yards with six touchdowns and just one interception in his three home games in 2016. The Jets also come into this game having lost their last three by at least 10 points each, two of which came on the road.

Still, there are 42 percent that like the Jets tonight and I am guessing it is over offensive concerns for the Cardinals. Arizona is just 2-3 against the spread this season, with one of the covers featuring Drew Stanton as the QB. Despite the Jets’ struggled to stop the pass, they are holding opposing run games to just 68.4 yards per game. If they can stop David Johnson, will that keep Palmer from lightning up the secondary? The big key for the Jets will be avoiding turnovers. Ryan Fitzpatrick has 10 interceptions this year, but their lone win featured him not throwing a pick in a 37-31 shootout with the Bills.
