NFL Week 8 Early Predictions
If you’re looking to bet Week 8 of the NFL early, here’s a couple of plays to jump on while there’s still value in the line.
All odds provided by oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag.
Bucs at Falcons, 1:00PM ET, Sunday
Atlanta is completely out of sync offensively. Matt Ryan has thrown two interceptions in his last three games, has completed less than 60 percent of his passes in two of his last three games, and Julio Jones suddenly can’t create the same separation he was earlier in the season. (Perhaps he’s still feeling the effects of a lingering hamstring injury.) Devonta Freeman has been a star, but the Atlanta passing game is completely out of rhythm. The Falcons’ passing game won’t get healthy this Sunday facing a Buccaneers team that ranks fifth in the NFL in passing yards allowed. As long as Jameis Winston doesn’t give the game away with his turnovers, then Tampa should cover. Take the Bucs +7.5.
Vikings at Bears, 1:00PM ET, Sunday
The Bears have dominated this matchup at the betting window, covering in eight of the last 11 meetings with Minnesota overall, and six of the last seven meetings at Solider Field. They’re also fresh coming off their bye and despite being just 2-4 on the year, they started to find themselves offensively in their previous two games. The Vikings have covered five straight games since dropping their season opener in San Francisco, but that streak should end in Chicago on Sunday. Take the Bears +1.
49ers at Rams, 1:00PM ET, Sunday
The over is 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams and with the total set at 39.5 points for Sunday’s game, there’s value in taking the over to hit again. Todd Gurley has been a revelation in his last three games and at some point his ability to gain yards in chunks should open up things for Nick Foles and the passing game. The 49ers are a mess defensively, ranking 31st in total yards allowed per game (406.0) and passing yards allowed per game (292.7). They’re also surrendering 25.7 points per contest so take advantage of the low total in this matchup. Take the over 39.5.
