Ravens vs. Steelers NFL Week 9 Odds
(The Spread) – AFC North foes will clash in Pittsburgh tonight at 8:20PM ET when the Steelers host the Ravens on Sunday Night Football.
BALTIMORE: Following their embarrassing loss to the Jaguars in Week 7, the Ravens followed up their performance by nearly losing to the Cardinals at home in Week 8. But they did erase a 24-3 deficit in order to pull off a 30-27 victory to push their record to 5-2 overall. Still, Joe Flacco (1,751 passing yards) continues to struggle with consistency and the team still needs to figure out a way to give Ray Rice (489 rushing yards, 7 total TDs) more opportunities to shine. It’ll be interesting to see how Baltimore fares this Sunday night against a team in Pittsburgh that the Ravens blasted 35-7 in Week 1.
PITTSBURGH: The red-hot Steelers will have revenge on their minds when they host the Ravens on Sunday. As previously mentioned, Baltimore routed Pittsburgh 35-7 in Week 1 and the Steelers need to win this game in order to build a two-game lead over the Ravens in the AFC North. If Pittsburgh plays as well as it did against New England, the Steelers shouldn’t have any problems grounding a Baltimore team that has struggled each of the past two weeks. The Steelers’ 25-17 victory over the Patriots last Sunday raised their record to 6-2 and their ATS record to 4-4. Pittsburgh has now won four straight games and is 3-1 against the number during that span.
ODDS: Oddsmakers have installed the Steelers as 3-point favorites over the Ravens, while the over/under total for this game is currently sitting at 41.5 points. Ray Lewis and Baltimore is 1-2 on the road this year while Pittsburgh is a perfect 4-0 at home.
TRENDS: The over is 6-1-1 in the last eight meetings between these two teams in Pittsburgh and 8-3-1 in the last 12 meetings overall. The Ravens are 2-5-1 against the number in their last eight games against the Steelers, who are 6-1 ATS in their last seven home games. Pittsburgh is also 6-1 ATS in its last seven games versus the AFC North and 4-0 ATS in its last four games in Week 9.
