Raiders vs. Chargers Prediction
Will the Chargers pull off the small upset on Sunday when they host the Raiders at 4:25PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Chargers are 2.5-point home dogs versus the Raiders while the over/under currently sits at 49 points. The point spread hasn’t moved off the original number set by oddsmakers but the total has dropped two full points, going from 51 down to the current number of 49.
OAKLAND KEY TRENDS: The Raiders are a near-perfect 8-1 against the spread in their last nine road games, with that one failed cover coming last Thursday night in a 21-13 loss to the Chiefs. They’re also 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games overall, are 4-0 against the number in their last four road games versus a team with a losing home record and are 4-1 ATS in their last five games versus AFC opponents.
SAN DIEGO KEY TRENDS: The Chargers are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games versus AFC West opponents, are 10-2 against the number in their last 12 games coming off a loss, and are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games versus AFC opponents. That said, they have failed to cover the spread in 14 of their last 19 home games and are just 3-10 at the betting window in their last 13 home games versus an opponent with a winning road record.

OUR PREDICTION: The underdog has been a great bet in this series, covering in 14 of the last 16 meetings between these two teams. The Chargers lost Melvin Gordon to hip and knee injuries but thankfully Joey Bosa looks like he’ll play despite suffering a neck injury in the team’s loss to the Panthers last Sunday. Derek Carr, meanwhile, continues to be affected by the finger injury he suffered a few weeks back and with how well these teams know each other, I like the idea of betting the Chargers up and taking the points.
