Colts -3.5 vs. Bengals today
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (The Spread) – The Indianapolis Colts hope to pick up a second win over the Cincinnati Bengals this season when the two meet in the NFL playoffs today at 1:05PM ET.
The Colts claimed the AFC South title this year by going 11-5 on the season, winning five of their last six games. Indianapolis was 10-5-1 against the spread this season, but the Colts were just 1-2-1 against the spread in their last four games while hitting the under in all four contests.
The Bengals finished ½ a game out of first in the AFC North, going 10-5-1. The Bengals dropped two of their last four games this season and come into this game wounded, as star receiver A.J. Green won’t play because of a concussion. Cincy was 8-7-1 against the spread for the season and finished 2-3 ATS in its last five while hitting the under in six of its last eight.
According to oddsmakers from BetDSI, the Colts are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -3.5 points against the Bengals. The over/under total for the game has been set at 48.5 points (View Matchup). The home team has won six straight between these two, including a 27-0 win for Indy back on Oct. 19.
When these two met back on Oct. 19, it was all Colts, as Indy had 506 yards of offense while holding the Bengals to just 135 total yards. Surprisingly, the Bengals didn’t have any turnovers, they just couldn’t get anything developed on offense. Andy Dalton was just 18 of 38 passing for 126 yards. Andrew Luck went 27 of 42 passing for 344 yards with two touchdowns and the team combined for 171 rushing yards. Cincinnati was without A.J. Green in that game as well, so it could be more of the same for the Bengals today.
