MINNEAPOLIS, MN (The Spread) – The Chicago Bears look to end a horrible season with a positive on Sunday when they face the Minnesota Vikings at 1PM ET.

The Bears are coming off a 20-14 loss to the Lions at home last week for their fourth straight loss, dropping to 5-10 on the season. Chicago used Jimmy Clausen at quarterback against the Lions, but he suffered a concussion and the recently-benched Jay Cutler will be back under center this Sunday. The Bears are 6-9 against the spread this year, covering the spread in just one of their last four.

The Vikings are coming off a 37-35 loss at Miami for their second straight loss, but both losses were by just two points and four of their last five losses have been by three points or less. The Vikings are no 6-9 overall on the season and 10-5 against the spread. Minnesota comes into this game having covering in five straight and eight of their last nine.

According to oddsmakers from BetDSI Minnesota is the favorite at home in this game, as the Vikings are getting odds of -6 points against the Bears. The over/under total for the game has been set at 44 points (View Matchup). The home team has won five straight in this series, including the Nov. 16 meeting. The Vikings have covered in three of their last four against the Bears and they have hit the under in five of their last six meetings.

In the first meeting this season, Chicago outgained Minnesota 468-243 in total yards. Jay Cutler had a strong outing, throwing for 330 yards and three touchdowns on 31 of 43 passing while Matt Forte rushed for 117 yards. Minnesota’s Teddy Bridgewater didn’t have a great game, as he was 18 of 28 throwing for 158 yards and one score.
