Oddsmakers suggest Chip Kelly will be back with the Eagles next season

Odds suggest Kelly to be back with Eagles

Where will Chip Kelly be coaching next season? The current odds suggest that he’ll be back with the Eagles next season.

View NFL Week 13 Odds

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the odds that Kelly return to the Eagles next season are +150. The odds that he’ll be with any NFL team other than the Eagles are +200, while the odds that he’ll be with any college football team are also +200. Finally, the odds that he will not be coaching either at the NFL or college level are +700.

On Tuesday, Kelly told his players that he has no interest in leaving Philadelphia. Running back Kenjon Barner said that Kelly noted, “As long as they have me here, I’m here.” Offensive tackle Jason Peters also said that he felt reassured by Kelly’s comments.

Despite those claims, there have been reports since last week that Kelly has worn out, or is wearing out his welcome in Philadelphia. If he does leave the Eagles, one team that has been mentioned as a possible fit is the Titans because of Kelly’s connection to quarterback Marcus Mariota. Kelly would also have his pick of multiple college football openings if he and the Eagles decide to part ways.
