Owner not surprised by Foster’s injury

HOUSTON, TX (The Spread) – Texans owner Bob McNair says that he’s not surprised that his running back Arian Foster suffered another injury.

“Can’t say I’m surprised. It seems like every year he’s had a soft tissue injury. We keep our fingers crossed,” McNair told the Houston Chronicle’s John McClain. “He seems to be vulnerable to those types of things. We believe he’ll come back this season and help us.”

Foster suffered a groin injury that could cost him multiple games at the start of the 2015 NFL regular season. The running back has missed 11 games over the past two years due to injuries, which include a previous groin issue.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Texans are 50/1 long shots to win the 2016 Super Bowl. They have major questions at quarterback and while the defense is solid, they’ll need to lean on Foster and the running game to help take pressure on whichever player winds up starting under center.
